WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the blood of Jesus Christ which was shed on Calvary is the only atonement for man's sins.  By accepting Christ as one's personal Savior, a man, woman, boy or girl can be saved from the eternal damnation of Hell and enjoy an eternity in Heaven.

We believe the Authorized 1611 King James Version of the Bible to be the infallible, inerrant and unadulterated Word of God.  All preaching, teaching and printed scripture readings used in our services and affiliated with our church are strictly AV 1611 KJV only with no consideration given to any other versions.  We believe the scriptures to be divinely ordained of God.

We believe there is a beautiful place called Heaven, the land of the free and the home of the saved when this life is over.  By accepting Jesus Christ as personal Savior, an individual will be able to enjoy an eternity where there is no sorrow, no crying, no death and no remembrance of the former things of this Earth.  Some song writers have likened Heaven to a land that is fairer than day.  We believe Heaven is a place that was created for Jesus and the Bride of Christ to have eternal fellowship through worlds without end.

Just as there is an extremely blissful place called Heaven, we believe Hell is also a real place where those who reject Jesus Christ as personal Savior will spend eternity in torment and damnation.  It's not a holding place as some religions may teach, but it's a literal place where individuals will suffer pain and agony forever and evermore.  The Bible teaches us that the rich man died and lifted his eyes in hell.  The thousands of people who say "No" to God on a daily basis and die without hope will enter that place which was originally prepared for the devil and his angels.  Hell is not a place to joke about nor is it a word to use lightly in street language and cursing. It's REAL and millions of people today scream from the regions beyond for just one drop of water.  But it's too late!  We encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and use the only sure FIRE ESCAPE from this awful place.

The Bible teaches us that the preaching of the cross is the power of God unto us which are saved. We believe God calls men to stand behind the sacred podium and preach the blessed Word of God under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. As God's man studies to prepare for the sermon which will be preached, he has no idea how the Lord will use it to deal and speak to the hearts of those in the congregation, but by faith he believes and trusts God and allows the Holy Spirit to do his office work.  The results are precious souls coming to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Christians' hearts strengthened and revived.

As many churches have become blinded by Satan and feel the need to move toward a more modern form of worship with praise bands, dance teams and contemporary and so-called Christian Rock music, we see an even more compelling need to stay with the
"Old Time Way" of worship with emphasis placed on Spirit-filled preaching, praying,  singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs  and fellowship. With a love for sinners and a heart to see the family of God grow abundantly, we're pressing on toward that Heavenly goal.
